Carlo Ancelotti to Become Brazil Coach Next Summer
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to become the coach of the Brazil national team next summer, according to reports.
The Italian coach will finish his contract with Real Madrid at the end of the 2023-24 season, and he will then take over the Selecao.
Ancelotti is a highly respected coach, having won the Champions League three times with AC Milan and Real Madrid. He is also the only coach to have won the European Cup/Champions League with three different clubs.
Ancelotti's appointment is a major coup for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The Selecao have not won a major international trophy since 2002, and they are looking to Ancelotti to help them end their drought.
Ancelotti will have a talented squad to work with at Brazil. The Selecao have a number of young stars, including Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, and Gabriel Jesus.
Ancelotti will be hoping to lead Brazil to glory at the 2024 Copa America and the 2026 World Cup.
"Carlo Ancelotti is one of the greatest coaches in the world," CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues said. "He has a proven track record of success, and he is the right person to lead Brazil to World Cup glory."
