Sir Ratcliffe's new book on thoughts about Manchester United matches

A report from "The Daily Mail" indicates that as the prospective new investor for Manchester United, the opening content of Sir Ratcliffe's new book might not be well-received by Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.



According to "The Daily Mail," in this book titled "Resilience, Rigour, and Humour: The Story of Ineos," Sir Ratcliffe recalls his journey around the Pacific, expressing that the intensity of local rugby matches made him feel the tremors of the earth. He even mentions a player being lifted onto a pickup truck after breaking his leg during a match. As a lifelong fan of Manchester United, Sir Ratcliffe sharply points out, "In stark contrast to Bruno Fernandes covering his uninjured face with his hands in the recent defeat against Liverpool, scenes like that are worlds apart."



Sir Ratcliffe's reference to the match is from March of this year, the 26th round of the last Premier League season when Manchester United suffered a devastating 0-7 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. This weekend, Manchester United will once again visit their arch-rivals Liverpool, but Bruno Fernandes will be absent from the first leg of this season's double-header against Liverpool due to a yellow card received in the previous round. The current captain of the Red Devils has faced criticism from the public as a result.
