Antoher Record! Messi's 2022 World Cup Shirts Sell for $7.8m at Auction

Lionel Messi fans are crazy. Recently, the jersey used by Lionel Messi when he led Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup was auctioned. The auction winner was willing to pay millions of USD to get it.

It was only a year ago that Messi finished football. He is Argentina's main superstar in the fight at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Argentina's struggle to become champion is not easy. They even lost the first match in the group phase. Argentina played a total of seven matches including the final against France. So, six Messi jerseys from these matches were thrown at auction.

Messi's used jersey was auctioned at Sotheby's Auction House, United States. Six jerseys were auctioned and all six sold for millions of US dollars.

Quoting Goal International, six Messi jerseys were sold for a total of 7.8 million United States dollars or around 121 billion rupiah.

This figure is extraordinarily high, even for Messi fans. On average, one jersey is worth around 20 billion rupiah.
