Celtic Achieves Comfortable 3-0 Victory Over St Mirren
In an impressive display of skill and strategy, Celtic bested St Mirren in a 3-0 triumph, preserving their eight-point lead at the Scottish Premier League's forefront. The game took off at lightning speed, with Celtic's Daizen Maeda engaging the victory sequence only 54 seconds into the game, setting a record for the quickest goal of the season on his third consecutive first-of-the-year goal.

Matt O'Riley followed closely, securing Celtic's second goal after setting up the first by creating an impeccable finishing angle that left St Mirren's goalie Zach Hemming powerless. Multiple assists courtesy of Portuguese midfielder Paulo Bernardo, who also marked the match with a remarkable personal show of skills, boosted Celtic's offense.

The first half of the game concluded gruesomely for St Mirren. Striker Toyosi Olusanya was expelled following a VAR review after, in a botched scoring attempt, he accidentally struck Celtic goalkeeper, Joe Hart, in the face. Olusanya's red card escalated the ordeal for St Mirren, further undermined as Celtic's Greg Taylor landed a dynamic second-half volley.

Despite Rangers' early victory against Kilmarnock, Celtic recaptured their edge, even as they had played two more games. St Mirren remains in the fifth slot, lagging two points behind Derek McInnes' side. St Mirren was significantly disadvantageous, facing midfield overrun and peripheral confusion, even before reeling to a 10-man-play disadvantage, which created a substantial void in their offensive capability.

Both Celtic and St Mirren are to compete in the upcoming Scottish Cup following the winter break. St Mirren will face Queen of the South on January 20, while Celtic will welcome Buckie Thistle on January 21.
