José Mourinho Announced as Fenerbahçe's New Coach
Portuguese stalwart José Mourinho has been named as the new coach of Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahçe. Thousands of fans flocked to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Istanbul to attend the signing ceremony held on the pitch, where Mourinho declared, "This shirt is my skin."

At 61, Mourinho takes over from Ismail Kartal, following Fenerbahçe's second-place league finish just behind their city rivals Galatasaray. Having lost only one game and tallying 99 points last term, the club has high expectations from the veteran coach.

Most recently, Mourinho was relieved of his managerial duties at Roma in January following two-and-a-half seasons in charge. His coaching exploits in the world of football span over two decades, with stints at prominent clubs such as Benfica, Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. He has clinched 21 major honours during his career, including being the only manager to have won the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League.

One of Mourinho's significant achievements remains guiding Roma to their first European trophy, the Europa Conference League in 2022, and leading them to the Europa League final the subsequent season.
