Mutual Contract Termination Agreed Between Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri
Italian club Juventus announced a mutual agreement with Massimiliano Allegri to terminate his contract at the end of the current season. The club sacked Allegri two weeks ago due to disruptive actions during the Coppa Italia final, including alleged threats to Tuttosport editor-in-chief Guido Vaciago. The termination followed a management shake-up, where Paolo Montero was appointed as the caretaker coach for the season’s last two matches.

Questions arose after Allegri’s dismissal as he had another year left on his lucrative contract, costing the club roughly 18 million euros in gross wages per year. Juventus cited Allegri's misconduct during the cup final as a just cause for his dismissal, aiming to relieve themselves from the burden of the manager’s remaining wages.

Initially, many believed that a lengthy legal battle was brewing; however, both parties reached an amicable solution, despite undisclosed details. Juventus thanked Allegri for his contributions and wished him the best in his future endeavors. It's expected that Thiago Motta, the new coach, will sign his contract with Juventus and take over in July.
