River Plate has reached out to Inter Milan's forward Alexis Sanchez
According to Argentine media TyC Sports, River Plate has reached out to Inter Milan's forward Alexis Sanchez, expressing their interest in bringing back the Chilean star.
The 35-year-old Sanchez's current contract with Inter Milan is set to expire on June 30th, and he is expected to leave the Nerazzurri as a free agent. According to TyC Sports, River Plate's management had contacted Sanchez several months ago. Although signing the forward on a free transfer is challenging, River Plate will closely monitor his situation until he signs with another team.
The report further states that Sanchez prefers to continue playing in European leagues. However, he has not yet reached an agreement with any club, and River Plate is eagerly awaiting his potential return.
Sanchez previously played for River Plate on loan from 2007 to 2008, during which he made 31 official appearances, scored 4 goals, and provided 3 assists. He also helped River Plate win the Argentine Primera División championship in 2008.
