The FFF will be pursuing legal action

The French Football Federation (FFF) has issued an official statement regarding the incident where Argentinian players sang a racially discriminatory song after winning the Copa America. The FFF stated that this behavior is unacceptable and that they will take legal action.

Official Statement from the FFF:

Philippe Diallo, President of the French Football Federation, condemns in the strongest terms the unacceptable racist and discriminatory remarks made by the Argentinian team players and fans following their victory in the Copa América. These remarks were broadcasted in videos on social media.

Given the seriousness of these shocking statements, which go against the values of sports and human rights, the President of the FFF has decided to appeal directly to the President of Argentina and FIFA. Following Argentina's 1-0 victory over Colombia in the Copa América final, Argentinian international Enzo Fernández started a livestream. During the livestream, several Argentinian players sang a song with racist undertones. They sang: "They play for France, but they come from Angola, they run very fast, they date trans people, their mothers are from Nigeria, their fathers are from Cameroon, but on their passports: French."
