Manchester United and Juventus agree deal for Jadon Sancho
Juventus have come to an agreement with Manchester United to take Jadon Sancho on loan with a buy obligation inserted in the contract.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Jadon Sancho is set to move out of Manchester United and join Juventus. The two clubs have come to an agreement on a loan deal, which includes a buy obligation for an undisclosed fee, as he has no place in the Red Devils squad.
Jadon Sancho to Juventus
The Jadon Sancho situation is heading towards a resolution following a summer of uncertainty. Pre-season began with the news that Erik ten Hag and the winger had sorted out their differences following a year of turbulence between them, which did spark rumours that the attacker could be integrated back into the squad.
However, the club chiefs have kept his future close to their chest while being open to integrating or selling the 24-year-old attacker. Manchester United have shown an interest in offers that might come in for Sancho, with Juventus recently establishing direct contacts for the winger.
Juventus had enquired about Sancho earlier this month, although the conditions during that phase might have proved unattainable. However, with the sale of Federico Chiesa to Liverpool, who they had anticipated to leave, the Bianconeri have revisited their interest in Sancho to find an agreement with Manchester United eventually.
Juventus are set to take Sancho on an initial loan move with a buy obligation in place. The deal does suit Manchester United, who were not prepared to sanction another temporary move without guarantees of a permanent exit, although the fee remains unclear at this stage.
Chelsea move proved unlikely
Chelsea held a strong interest in Sancho and they would have made the move had Manchester United accepted one other player who they do not want to keep. Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell were those stars discussed as a possibility to move across those clubs, and Sancho was reportedly open to joining the Blues.
There may have been plenty of complications for the two clubs to conclude a deal, and hence, Juventus now appear as the ideal destination for Sancho. He could have an important role there under new boss Thiago Motta, as the 24-year-old attacker will now look to get his career back on track.
