Argentine Young Talent Echeverri Completes Move to Manchester City
Argentina's rising star, Echeverri, is set to join Manchester City, according to his agent, Enzo Montepaone, who exclusively shared the news with the Italian website Calciomercato. Montepaone stated, "I can confirm that everything regarding Echeverri's transfer from River Plate to Manchester City has been completed. We are very excited."
Despite interest from top European clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus, Manchester City emerged victorious in the pursuit of Echeverri, thanks to the strong recommendation from manager Pep Guardiola.
The transfer involves Manchester City paying €26 million to River Plate, and Echeverri is expected to sign a six-season contract with the club. As part of the agreement reached in the final hours, River Plate retains the right to loan Echeverri back for one year.
According to German outlet Sky Sport, the transfer fee is €25 million plus €5 million in additional clauses.
