Kylian Mbappe Departure from PSG Fueled by Unhappiness linked to 'Certain People'
Kylian Mbappe has candidly opened up about his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, attributing it to certain individuals causing his dissatisfaction. After six years and a triumphant tenure in the French capital, the forward has now joined Real Madrid on a free transfer, ending a protracted transfer saga. He accused "certain people" at PSG of threatening to sideline him last season over his refusal to renew his contract, leading to a public fallout with chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi last summer.

His move comes amidst reported discontent during PSG's 2023 tour of Japan and South Korea. The club management threatened to ban Mbappe from playing after he announced his intentions to depart Parc des Princes in 2024. Commenting on his experience, Mbappe expressed that while he wasn't unhappy at PSG, certain situations and individuals did upset him.

Despite these challenges, Mbappe maintains that he remained happy at PSG, crediting the coach, team, and club employees' support. Over his six-year stint at PSG, Mbappe made 308 appearances, netting 256 goals while bagging the Ligue 1 title five times and four Coupe de France medals.

Though a transfer to Real Madrid had been rumoured for several seasons, the move only materialized after Mbappe's PSG contract expired. He thanked Luis Enrique in particular for aiding his continuation on the field amid adversarial circumstances. "Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me. I wouldn't have set foot on the pitch again without them," stated Mbappe. Despite his impressive 2024 season, Mbappe promises an even more unstoppable performance next year.
