Due to Severe Injuries in the Forward Line, Nice is Monitoring Free Agents Depay and Ben Yedder
According to a report from L'Équipe, in addition to Yazici and Maupay, Ben Yedder and Depay are also on Nice's radar for potential signings.
Nice is currently facing an injury crisis in their attacking line. Moffi suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during preseason and will miss most of the season. Boga was also injured in preseason, and although he is nearing a return, he has been linked with a move to Roma. Diop is a long-term absentee, and Laborde suffered a metatarsal fracture in Friday's training session, which is expected to sideline him for 2-3 months. Therefore, Nice is considering bringing in another forward from the transfer market, but their limited financial resources pose a significant constraint.
Previously, several French media outlets suggested that former Lille forward and free agent Yazici was an option, as was former Nice player Maupay. However, a move for the Everton forward is almost financially unfeasible for the Ligue 1 side.
Furthermore, L'Équipe points out that two other free agents are also under consideration: Ben Yedder and Depay. However, wage demands may still be a major obstacle. Depay is currently training in Monaco, just a few kilometers from Nice, but at this moment, the possibility of signing the former Atlético Madrid forward appears to be low.
